What Are Android Quick Settings

Quick Settings is the panel you see when you swipe down from the top of your Android screen. It contains tiles for WiFi, Bluetooth, airplane mode, and — on most phones — a flashlight toggle. This is already the fastest way to access the flashlight on Android.

But you can make it even better with a dedicated app that adds a smarter tile.

How to Add or Rearrange the Flashlight Tile

For the built-in flashlight tile:

  1. Swipe down twice from the top of your screen to fully expand Quick Settings.
  2. Tap the pencil/edit icon (usually bottom-left).
  3. Find the "Flashlight" tile and drag it to your preferred position.
  4. Place it in the first row for quickest access.

For OneTap's enhanced tile:

  1. Install OneTap - Flashlight & SOS from Google Play.
  2. Open Quick Settings and tap the edit icon.
  3. Find the OneTap tile in the available tiles section.
  4. Drag it to your active tiles area.

Why Use an App Tile Instead of the Built-In One

  • More modes — the built-in tile is just on/off. OneTap gives you LED, screen light, SOS, strobe.
  • Timer support — auto-off when you forget.
  • Pocket protection — prevents accidental activation.
  • Home screen widget too — double convenience.

OneTap for Android
